Down on the Farm

Last week we took a field trip to Superstition Farm with Kaden's preschool class. I think Colton enjoyed this more than Kaden did... He had so much fun petting animals and letting a baby cow suck on his hand! (pics to follow on this one soon) He loved the big tractors, throwing rocks into the big water puddle from the rain the night before, running through the hay maze, the hay ride behind the tractor to see all the cows....so much fun!

Nursery Class

Colton LOVES to go to Nursery at church on Sunday. He sits in sacrament and says:

"Now can I go to nursery and eat cheese balls and color and sing songs and play with toys?!"

He just can't wait! These are some of his cute pictures that he has colored.

How NOT to laugh

How do you not laugh at a 2 year old after yelling at him for being naughty when he says, and I quote " alright, alright SNAPPY PANTS!!"

Dress Up

Colton LOVES wearing hats, getting dressed up and putting on everyones shoes. He has come into this funny little personality and is so fun to be around. Although he is a bit frustrating at times, because he knows just the right buttons to push on mom...already. Everyone he comes in contact with he can put a smile on thier face. What a cute, goofy, silly, smart, stinker this boy is!

New Words

Every week Colton has something new that he is imitating. Whether it is Buzz Lightyear, Lightning McQueen or things that Kaden says.
This week it is the saying "What the Heck?!" This is so funny when he says it. Sometimes in context and sometimes out of nowhere. His vocabulary is growing...although you may not be able to understand some of the letters, you can always figure out the sentance. What goof!

so cute...

Sometimes when I look at his face I just want to squeeze him and kiss him and love him. These times are rare, not because i don't love him, but because the Tasmanian Devil never sits still. He is a constant whirl of energy. He makes me laugh everyday and is so dang cute!
Lately Colton has surprised me at how loving and nurturing he is towards his baby cousins Kloey and Libby. We went to visit them this last week and he was so helpful in feeding and loving them. It was so adorable to watch.

Colton LOVES to sing. On Sunday Kaden was upstairs singing "Life is a Highway" from the movie Cars. Colton chimes in and at the top of his lungs belts out the word to the chorus. Although only getting out half the words, it was sweet music to hear the boys singing.

The Binkie is History!

This past month, with the help of his father...because mom has no will power when it comes to taking the babies bottle or binkies away, Colton is binkie free and has been for about 3 weeks now! We are so proud of him for being such a big boy!!

Broken?

So I always knew that Colton would be the first child to break something. Well this one wasn't completley his fault, here's the story:

Jesse, Kaden and Colton were all jumping on the trampoline last night and i looked out the window to see the fun and there was no fun happening. Jesse was holding Colton, who was crying. When I got the story from Jess he said that they were jumping and Colton's leg slid under Jesse's foot while he was in the air and Jesse landed on it. Colton has twisted his ankle before and he would still walk on it and didn't cry for that long after it happened, but this time he looked and adted miserable. He wouldn't stop crying and would not stand or put any pressure on it. I felt so bad and I think dad did too. We decided to take him to Nightime Pediatrics where luckily our fav doc was on that night, Dr. Leavitt and he looked him over real good. He couldn't find anything that was a major fracture or broken bone. Colton winced when you touched him in a few areas on the shin area, but no screaming. After looking him over the doc said to give it till tomorrow and see if he will walk on it tomorrow.
Well this morning all i did was carry a 30 pound 2 year old all over the house cause he couldn't and wouldn't walk on his leg. Poor baby I felt so bad he kept saying "hold me", "help me" so i lugged the kid everywhere. After dropping Kaden off at school we went to get x-rays done and are still waiting to hear back from the doc. hopefull sooner than later. In the meantime, we carry this little gimp all over the house, and if he gets a cast, we continue to carry him...oh man i'm gonna need a toddle wheel chair! poor kid...

Dinner at Amazing Jakes

Colton LOVED the simulated roller coaster ride. He was so into it he hardly knew what was going on around him. I think he rode it like 5 times until we convinced him there were other rides to ride.

Wasn't too sure about the merry go round unless you were standing right next to him.

And the tea cups made Kaden a little nervous....Colton was kinda confused as to why, so because Kaden was covering his ears, Colton thought he was supposed to too....

Colton was in heaven when we ate. The Incredibles were playing on a big screen and he got all the pizza and macoroni and cheese he could eat!

When it was all over, he had to pick a toy for all his tickets...it was a bit overwhelming....but we settled on a sucker :)
